A South African actress, television presenter, dancer, choreographer, businesswoman and singer. In 2017, she won best actress at the Boston International Film Festival Awards and was nominated as best actress at the Florida Film Festival and Best Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role as “Dora” in Dora’s Peace. She was unforgettable when she played the role of gangster Nina Zamdela on the SABC 3soap opera Isidingo in 2017. 

Khabonina enjoys conversations. This gives her a chance to get to know how people feel and think in general, hence hosting a show like “Fix My Love” on BET, Educational programs like “Grandmasters” & reality television “It’s For Life”, plus wellness shows such as “Dijo Le Bophelo” now on Season 4 , are such a joy for her to lead. 

Have you ever met a person who loves and understands being hated for her roles? Khabonina is she! She loved how you hated her on shows like The Wild on MNet & Generations on SABC 1.

“I love being a catalyst. Making you feel uncomfortable till you face the issue.” She expands on her Generations role as Obey Abudu. “I Love telling stories , especially of women put under pressure, put in a corner and finding themselves forced to make decisions.”

Khabonina believes that – ‘Dance is the hidden language of the soul’. Hence dance will forever be embedded in her!

As an FNB award winning dance graduate and professional choreographer, Khabonina has taught dance, ran dance workshops, hosted and been a judge on numerous television dance reality shows – SABC 1’s Dance Your Butt Off, eTV’s Step Up or Step Out. Channel O’s Dance Africa.

She also choreographed The Channel O Music Video Awards and most recently choreographed and performed the Netflix Gresilda Launch. It was a night to remember. 

Qubeka is interested in everything that serves the body mind and soul . Understanding yoga was journey she particularly enjoyed. Ten years later , an official yogi & yoga enthusiast, she produced and hosted her own yoga inspired health and fitness show called KHAFS on YouTube . She also produced Gym e’Kasi for eTV and Open View HD.

There is so much more to this Queen! 

In 2018, she launched her own Afro Yoga concept in Hong Kong and received a City University ‘award of the highest honour of a professional creative for the world’ from the director of City University Mr Wilson Lam and YogaRaj himself.
