What Khabonina has done with her career and skills.
I’ve been penning my ideas, stories and concepts since I was in primary school. By now I’ve learned how to sieve necessary vs unnecessary content. Today my team and I have produced 20 main solid programs and presented about 10 so far, ranging from television series to talk shows & reality television.
In 2014 I was called the minister of health & fitness. This was inspired by a show I produced for Etv and open view HD called “Gym’ eKasi”. This was inspired by my conversations with real people on the ground with real issues. There was a need to understand why health was not top of their list and my mission was to find solutions.
One of my favourite things to things to produce were my weekly health and fitness features on top radion stations like radio 2000 and Kwekwezi FM. I love radio because it’s all about realness.
Content is in real time and one can immidiately reach locals wherever they are without “televised” distractions.
Your voice, as raw as it is, shapes the entire program and your audience feels the message, if it’s genuine.
I then went on to produce another incredible 13-episode show called KHAFS (Khabonina Health & Fitness Show) on YouTube.
This was inspired by my audience wanting to find out how to keep fit and healthy wherever you are, fitness on the go, and we did exactly that ! We showcased & explored celebs, ordinary people, yogis and cancer survivors on their wellness journeys.
The show is still relevant to this day, so are most programs with my involvement in them. I produce for longevity, this is only the beginning.
